OMSA M1 NOVICE RIDER PROGRAM Our M1 program is available to anyone 16 years of age and older. Most participants hold a valid M1 license, and upon successful course completion become eligible for upgrading to M2 status. Other riders, including those with full M status, but no formal training, or those who may have been away from the sport for some time will also benefit. Contact your insurance provider to discuss savings for course graduates. This course is 22 hours in length including both classroom and range (parking lot) riding sessions. All courses include a Friday evening session and all-day sessions on Saturday and Sunday. OMSA provides a motorcycle for each course participant. Students must supply their own riding gear. The program starts from the basics needed by first-time riders and progresses quickly to more advanced skills. Lesson topics include:
