OMSA MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN HISTORIC RIDER TRAINING SYMPOSIUM

hpim3803.jpg (2219856 bytes)The Experienced Rider Training Symposium (ERTS) held May 24 to 27, 2011 in Niagara was sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and its Commission on Mobility and Transportation. The FIM is the  Geneva-based world governing body for motorcycling and motorcycle sport. The ERTS runs every three years and is hosted by a different country. For the first time in its history the ERTS was hosted in North America.

hpim3807.jpg (2457452 bytes)This was an international coming-together of motorcycle rider training professionals, motorcycle safety researchers and individuals involved in framing legislation pertaining to the operation of motorcycles. The unique aspect of ERTS is that it is a “hands-on” experience.  Participants travelled from Europe, Asia, South America and across Canada.  OMSA was represented by program coordinators Jen Roth and Maurice Lambrecht and by Supervising Chief Instructor, David Cross.
